LONGEVITYSTACK
the engineering of sleep

About

I'm Bernardo Paranhos, a production engineering student at UTFPR (Federal University of Technology — Paraná, Brazil). LongevityStack applies the tools production engineering trains — bottleneck analysis, process optimisation, failure-mode identification — to one system: how the body sheds heat to fall asleep and stay asleep.

I am not a physician. Every page on this site says so, and every claim is traceable to a primary source: study type, sample size, population and funding are declared inline, not buried in a linked PDF.

Why an engineering lens

Most sleep content is written to be engaging, not to be right. An engineering background doesn't make me more correct than a clinician — it makes me allergic to unsourced claims and comfortable saying "we don't know yet" when the evidence doesn't support a clean answer.

Where this site can add something the large health publishers don't is first-hand measurement: N=1 experiments in my own bedroom, each published with its raw data alongside the conclusion.
